Detailed botanical print made on drawings by Jacques De Sève, a French illustrator of the eighteenth century, renowned for his faithful reproductions of plants and animals.

Published around the year 1795 by Brisseau-Mirbel, who has a reputation for being the most skilled and ingenious of French botanist-anatomists of the early 19th century. He should be considered the founder of microscopic plant anatomy. His treatise on plant anatomy and physiology made him famous all over the world.

Very suitable for framing.
