Set of 8 Singapore photos by Lambert & Co.

Gustav Richard Lambert (1846-1907) came to Singapore in the 1860s and started the famous photography studio that bore his name: Lambert & Co. (1867-1918.) The studio was massively popular and had branches in Bangkok, Medan, Deli (Sumatra,) and Lambert himself was photographer of royalty including the Sultan of Johor.
