Highly decorative set of six maps in finely executed hand finished colouring, published in the year 1765-66 in Paris by the famous French geographer and demographer Louis Brion. Brion was the former Geographer to the King of France. Much of his work was done in partnership with Louis Charles Desnos, who was bookseller and geographical engineer for globes to the Danish Crown.
Maps from this set usually appear on the market as separate maps. That this set of six is still together, in this great condition and attractive colour is rare, and a unique chance for those who are looking for a rare set to decorate a larger home, restaurant or office wall.
