An important collection of historical documents and maps related to the history of the European discovery of Australia and the V.O.C. (Dutch East India Company). First 1899 edition of this important work, with parallel text in Dutch and English on opposite pages. Numerous photogravure plates and two large folding maps printed in colour, very suitable for framing.

Published by the Royal Dutch Geographical Society to commemorate its twenty-fifth anniversary, this represented a major step forward in the study of the early discovery of Australia. A total of 212 pages. A fine clean copy.
