Two rare and important early maps of the coastline from Mount Fuji to Hamamatsu, and from Tokyo (Jedo) to Chigaski. 

Kaempfer's work was not only important for its maps but also for the history of science and for the annals of natural history. He was a doctor and his first priority was the cataloguing of Japanese herbs and plants. His maps of Japan and South East Asia were important and accurate, and used by mapmakers as a primary source for over a century.
