Two large size lithographed maps showing in great detail the Island of Java, West and East. Decorated with a few inset that show the major cities in the Island, the map was printed in 1910 in the Netherlands. A decorative map in attractive colours, very suitable for framing. This is a genuine antique map, not a modern reproduction. 

Lithography is a printing process that uses a flat stone or metal plate on which the image areas are worked using a greasy substance so that the ink will adhere to them, while the non-image areas are made ink-repellent.
